Man apprehended for allegedly axing 2 minor sons to death

The accused also reportedly injured his wife, sister in attack

A man in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was on Thursday arrested for allegedly killing two minor sons.

Authorities say that the accused first attacked his sons, and then proceeded to seriously injure his wife and sister in a fit of rage. The man is believed to have committed the crime on October 6.

Local police said that they managed to nab the culprit after he was on the move to avoid arrest. Authorities were able to trace the man, who claimed that he had committed the crime 'in the name of honour'.

On Wednesday, Peshawar police apprehended a man who allegedly killed his mother over, what he claimed, her eloping with a man.

The accused, identified as Hassan, managed to flee after committing the murder. However, a special police team arrested the accused within 24 hours of the crime, and recovered the pistol used.

Police had launched an investigation after Hassan’s uncle got registered a first information report (FIR) against him at Phandu police station.
