Speaker of Balochistan Assembly resigns
Aslam Bhootani tendered resignation due to differences with the Chief Minister, sources say.
QUETTA:
The Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, Muhammad Aslam Bhootani tendered his resignation to the Governor of Balochistan after differences emerged between him and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
Sources say Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani had taken decisions regarding Bhootani’s constituency at the behest of political opponents and had not taken the speaker into confidence.
A copy of the resignation has been sent to the Governor House in Quetta.
