Army's PACES competition commences at Lahore Garrison

The second international Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) competition commenced on Monday at Lahore Garrison, said a statement by the Inter-Services Press Relations (ISPR).

Teams from armed forces of 19 countries, including Pakistan, are participating in the week-long competition.

The first PACES championship was held in 2016 in Lahore which was won by Pakistan.

Turkish envoy calls on COAS

The Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul on Monday called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.



Pakistan to provide training to army troops of Islamic countries

Matters of mutual interest including regional security issues came under discussion during the meeting.


Last month, the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met the army chief during his two-day visit.


Cavusoglu acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to the region and also pledged to keep working for better relations between the two brotherly countries.
