Four juveniles remanded to jail in rape case in Hyderabad

The court orders DNA tests of the suspects and police takes them to Liaquat University Hospital

HYDERABAD: Four boys charged with the gang rape of a 13-year-old boy were sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in Hyderabad on Saturday. Following the registration of the FIR, the Hatri police arrested the suspects Fahad Laghari and his brother, Aamir Laghari, Nazeer Laghari and Maskan Laghari on Friday.

The suspects were brought handcuffed in the court and were produced before the Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate II who remanded them to the jail custody. The four have been accused in an FIR lodged on complaint of the rape victim Darshan Kumar’s father Dr Ladhoram Meghwadh at Hatri police station.

Dr Meghwadh stated that his family had gone to village Wanki Wasi for condolence. “My son and his cousin were riding over a motorbike. They were intercepted by the four accused and beaten up. They later took my son to an agricultural field and molested him,” the complainant alleged. The court ordered DNA tests of the suspects and the victim after which the police took them to Liaquat University Hospital. The suspects were later shifted to the Juvenile Prison in Central Jail Hyderabad.
