Quality healthcare: Health insurance card expanded to entire country

ISLAMABAD:
The government is aware of challenges and hardships faced by poor patients and has made it a priority to expand the health insurance card to the entire country so that every deserving patient gets free of cost healthcare from both public and private hospitals. Federal health minister Aamer Mehmood Kiani said this during a surprise visit he conducted on Friday of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (NIRM) hospitals.
During the visit the Health Minister directed hospital staff to take every measure necessary to improve patient care. He strictly warned that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated. The present government is accordingly giving top priority to improving healthcare in the country. Islamabad will be made a model city for provision of health services.
