Police officials recovered eight stolen motorcycles, mobile phones, golden jewellery and cash worth Rs799,687 from their possession during the month of May 2011.
A police spokesperson told reporters that 334 cases of illicit weapons were registered last month and police recovered five unlicensed Kalashinkoves, 27 rifles, 53 guns (12-bore), 13 revolvers, 227 pistols (30-bore), 7 carbines and 1132 cartridges and ammunition from the possession of the accused.
