Schoolteacher abducted for turning down proposal in Jhang
SP says police tracking call records of accused and soon they will be arrested

A schoolteacher was allegedly abducted in Jhang’s Shor Kot Tehsil on Wednesday.
A police official said that 24-year-old K* was a teacher at the Government Girls’ Primary School in Chak No 406-JB. He added her mother R* was also working as a teacher at the same school.
The official maintained that on the day of the incident, K* was at the school when accused Abdul Rauf, Muhammad Saqlain, Shakeel, Ramzan, Abid and others barged in and allegedly abducted her at gunpoint. He said the culprits took the victim to an undisclosed location.
The Waryam Wala police station has registered a case against the accused under section 365-B and started investigations. Meanwhile, the victim’s family and relatives lodged protests outside the DPO office and education department against the incident. They demanded that authorities arrest the culprits and recover the girl.
While speaking to Express News, the victim’s mother said that the accused had sent a marriage proposal which her daughter had refused. She added, “A few days ago, the culprits also barged into my home and tried to kidnap my daughter. I registered a case of the incident at the police station.”
She revealed, “However, the accused managed to secure bail from the Lahore High Court.”
When contacted, SP Investigation Imtiaz Mehmood said the police were tracking the accused’s call records adding that they will be arrested soon. He added, “The victim will be recovered soon.”
Earlier, at least two women were abducted in Pakpattan. In the first incident, I*, a resident of Chak Jhaghan Kend Lal, was travelling with his 15-year-old daughter when accused Amir and his two accomplices abducted the girl and escaped from the spot.
Similarly, a farmer of Chak No 345-EB, was on his way to bazaar for shopping with his wife K* when accused Jalal, Iqbal and Bilal abducted the woman.
