4.5 magnitude quake causes no casualties or damage

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Sindh and Balochistan borders with no loss of life or damage to property having been reported, according to Express News late Wednesday night.

The earthquake was felt in the bordering areas of the two provinces with reports of Karachi feeling the tremors.

Based on the richtor scale, the quake was of a 4.5-magnitude.

The depth of the quake was estimated to be 12km with the epicenter  being Kirthar National Park.

Earlier on September 1,tremors had been felt in various cities of Punjab including Lahore.

Some parts of Faisalabad, Kasur, Pakpattan, Chiniot, Nankana, Jaranwala and Sheikhupura also experienced the tremors.

Chief Meteorlogist Lahore Muhammad Riaz, while speaking to The Express Tribune said the earthquake was of 4.3 magnitude and its epicenter was 30km north of Nankana Sahib.
