A case was registered against the former PPP senator and unknown companions, for making ‘insulting and threatening’ remarks against the judges of the supreme court, including the chief justice.
On September 20, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Abidi at the Secretariat police station in Islamabad after the Supreme Court’s public relations officer Shahid Hussain submitted a complaint.
On Monday, Abidi was granted a one-day protective bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
