Pirwadhai police bust gang of bike lifters
The police spokesperson, Mazharul Haq alias Shani, said that both sustained gunshots to their legs and were admitted to Liaquat University Hospital for surgery immediately after the arrest. According to him, Javed is booked in three FIRs in Karachi, Hyderabad and Jamshoro and Yousufzai in four FIRs in Hyderabad and Jamshoro. He claimed that both of them are notorious robbers who were wanted by the police. Javed is a resident of Lyari, Karachi, while Yousufzai lives in Kacha Qila, Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, two of the suspects wanted to the Jamshoro police for a robbery in a coach on the Indus Highway on September 13 were injured in an encounter on Sandos Company Road in Baigo Mirjat village in Jamshoro.
Jamshoro SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi told the media that the police signaled a car to stop but it tried to escape while firing gunshots.
He claimed that two, among the five persons travelling in the car, were injured in the exchange of fire while three others who remained unscathed were also arrested. He identified the injured suspects as Badal Bugti and Sarfaraz Panhwar and their accomplices as Jehangir Panhwar, Aslam Brohi and Akbar Brohi.

The police claimed to have seized three grenades, five pistols, 13 mobile phones, bullets, 15 national identity cards and an unspecified number of mobile phone SIMs from their possession. The SSP said the gang was involved in robberies and other crimes in Sindh and Balochistan. He said that the suspects who looted a coach on September 13 on the Indus highway were identified by recorded footage. However, he added, they had escaped to Balochistan after committing the crime.
