BNP-M optimistic about winning PB-40 Khuzdar seat

Mengal says Khuzdar people's loyalty to BNP-M is time-tested

QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) President Mohammad Akhtar Mengal has expressed optimism that the alliance between his party and the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will prove beneficial for their candidate Akbar Mengal in winning the PB-40 Khuzdar seat.

Addressing a joint session in Mengal Kot on Sunday, Mengal said, “People of Khuzdar cannot be threatened or forced to change their loyalty to BNP-M.”



The BNP-M chief said, “The people of Khuzdar have had enough from politicians attempting to win the elections by threatening citizens. During the July 25 polls, many political parties had supported antagonists, but during the by-elections on PB-40 they will taste defeat again.”

He said that the people of Khuzdar had refuted the negative propaganda being spread against the political alliance of BNP-M and MMA.

“We will continue to strengthen the alliance just like we did in the July 25 elections,” said Mengal. “People must respond with ballot papers to those threatening them for changing their support for BNP-M. We have been making earnest efforts to maintain the trust the people of Khuzdar have shown in us during the general elections.”



Mengal announced the launch of a fervent election campaign for BNP-M and MMA’s joint candidate Akbar Mengal for the PB-40 seat. Mengal won the election on PB-40 Khuzdar III, but later decided to retain his National Assembly seat.

The session constituted various election teams responsible for initiating public campaigns in the constituency for the by-elections scheduled to be held on October 14.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, candidate Akbar said, “The people of Khuzdar never left our side and remained loyal in the face of all propaganda and threats. With their support, our alliance will manage to win in the by-elections.”

The BNP-M president addressed various corner meetings, urging people to vote for the joint candidate.
