An enraged man shot dead his sister in Bagnotar area here on Thursday and escaped, police said. The woman, was married and had two small children, family sources told.
Muhammad Saeed, a resident of Bagh village, told the Bagnotar police that he had married to Sabeela Bibi, 24, about five years back and they had two children aged two and four. He said that they were enjoying cordial marital relations but his inlaws started developing differences between them. On Wednesday evening his brother-in-law Amjad came to their home and asked his wife to accompany him to their parents home but she refused and asked him to stay for a night. On Thursday morning he again insisting to his sister to go with him but she refused infuriating him.
The angry man fired pistol shots at the chest and head of his sister injuring her seriously. She was removed to Benazir Shaheed Hospital Abbottabad but the doctors pronounced her dead. The police registered a case against the man.
