Senate delegation participates in ASEP10

Second panel looked into the impact on migration

ISLAMABAD: A three-member delegation of parliamentarians from Senate has reached Brussels to participate in 10th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP10) hosted by the European Parliament in the Belgian capital.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, the delegation comprises Senators Najma Hameed, Shafiq Tareen and Faisal Javed.

Senators have attended plenary sessions on 27th and participated in discussion panels of three thematic sessions pertaining to environment and climate change.  The first panel discussed impact of climate change and environment on the economy.

The second panel looked into the impact on migration; whereas the third panel deliberated on the impact of climate change and environment on the security.

The delegation would also visit House of European History and have an interaction session with Pakistani community and the media based in Belgium, the press release said.
