889 rescuers graduate from academy in Lahore

ESA has trained 18,000 emergency staff from other areas

The graduation ceremony of 889 rescuers, including 709 emergency medical technicians (EMTs), was held at the Emergency Services Academy (ESA) on Thursday.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar was the chief guest. Rescue 1122 Director General Rizwan Naseer, National Ambulance Service College Education Manager Macartan Hughes and ESA faculty also attended the ceremony.

Around 889 rescuers from the Basic-28 course, including 708 EMTs, 156 computer Telephone Wireless Operators, 25 emergency officers and managers, have successfully completed their training.

Rescue 1122 DG Rizwan Naseer congratulated the graduating rescuers and their families on completing their training.

Not only is the academy training rescuers but it is also providing technical assistance; ESA has trained 18,000 emergency staff from other areas.
