KARACHI:

The education minister, Pir Mazharul Haq, fielded public complaints over the telephone at 919, the Chief Minister House’s public complaint cell on Thursday. People called in about textbooks for colleges and dilapidated school buildings.

The Madrassa High School in Naushero Feroze is a 125-year-old institution that has produced a number of prominent Sindhis. The minister asked the education secretary to look into the condition of the school’s building.

He asked him to obtain a detailed report about the historical school from the Naushero Feroze DCO. He promised to visit the school himself as well.

Haq told the education secretary to find teachers for the Commerce College, Naushero Feroze. He also gave instructions to set up an institute at the same level as the Institute of Business Administration at Naushero Feroze Elementary College.
