For this purpose, on Sunday, a meeting was held at the Commissioner office where it was decided that foolproof security measures will be taken for the campaign. It was also decided that clerics and communities would be taken into confidence and their services obtained to complete the work.
Karachi Commissioner Saleh Farooqui directed the officials to pay special focus to the children who have not been administered polio drops earlier. He ordered to ensure that measures are taken to remove the hurdles so that all children have easy access to the vaccine. The Sindh education department will also be extending its services for the campaign, according to the press statement. "We urge parents to cooperate with us," Farooqui said, adding that this would only secure the future of their children.
