Gang involved in robbing people at ATMs arrested in Karachi

Rangers spokesperson says CCTV footage helped arrest the street criminals

Rangers apprehended on Thursday three suspects in an operation against dacoits and street criminals in Karachi.

The law enforcement agency identified the suspects as Rab Nawaz alias Bhagha, Imtiaz alias Bhindi and Ameer Muavia with the help of the CCTV footage. In the footage, Nawaz and Mauvia were clearly seen committing burglary.

According to Rangers spokesperson, those arrested were involved in street crime and stealing from ATM cash machines in Naizmabad, Nagan Chowrangi, Tariq Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and other areas.

During the raid, the personnel also found weapons and ammunition from the possession of the suspects. The paramilitary force has handed all three suspects over to police for further interrogation.
