Dialysis machine donated by PWS

In collaboration with a medical social welfare project

FAISALABAD: Patient Welfare Society (PWS), in collaboration with a medical social welfare project, donated a dialysis machine costing Rs1.3 million to the Allied Hospital nephrology department. Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmed Fawad handed over the machine to Allied Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Khurram Altaf on behalf of the society. Additional MS Dr Akram Cheema and others were present at the occasion. While addressing the ceremony, the deputy commissioner said that the Punjab government was taking special measures in order to provide the people with better health facilities. He lauded the scoiety’s noble cause as well as that of philanthropists and said that the efforts of the community cannot be ignored in serving humanity. He hoped that the machine will prove beneficial in extending the health of kidney patients. He maintained that the government had brought various reforms in the health sector in a bid to facilitate the masses. On the occasion, Dr Khuram briefed the deputy commissioner about the performance of the nephrology department.
