KARACHI:

The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) does not expect immediate results from its roadmap for the revival of the economy and has termed its paper a long-term solution, which will yield results in the next five years, according to Siemens Pakistan Chief Executive Sohail Wajahat Siddiqui.

Speaking at the media briefing on PBC’s National Economic Agenda on Wednesday, Siddiqui said that PBC has taken all of its initiatives for the future and not for one or two years. The results of our economic roadmap will be seen in the next four-five years,” said Siddiqui. “Everything needs planning. What we will start today will bear fruits tomorrow.”

PBC’s initial plan focused on five important sectors: macroeconomic stability, energy, social protection, education, and regional trade.
