KARACHI:
Mutual agreements worth nearly $250 million have been signed at the three-day 15th health and pharmaceutical international exhibition, which ended on Thursday. The exhibition was jointly organised by E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan and the Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI). The exhibition was attended by 550 foreign delegates from 25 countries, including China, Iran, USA, India, Turkey, etc and was visited by around 60,000 visitors. E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan President Dr Khursheed Nizam said special attention given by the government created a positive image of the country in the international community. Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Pharmaceutical Association Chairman Shahzaib Akram said local companies can contribute over $3 billion towards national economy. He said if the cost of doing business is reduced and basic issues are resolved, then this industry could flourish at a faster pace and generate huge employment.
