Afridi’s departure (II)

Afridi’s departure (II)

KARACHI: Frankly speaking, I think it’s good for the Pakistan cricket team that Shahid Afridi has retired because of late he seemed more involved in proselytising that in the game of cricket.

Now that he has retired, he should have more time to devote himself to this cause. At least now he won’t be able to use the powerful and popular platform of the national cricket team’s captaincy to preach religion to others. The Pakistan Cricket Board was paying him millions of rupees to play cricket but he was distracted. I applaud the board’s decision and I hope that it will not be pressurised to reverse it.
