HYDERABABD: A man killed his wife and daughter allegedly for the sake of honour in Khipro, Sanghar district. The incident took place in Sabir Khyber village on Tuesday.

Moosa Khyber allegedly axed his wife Nasreen Khyber and 18-year-old daughter Jameela Khyber to death at their residence. The suspect escaped from his home after leaving the two dead.

"Moosa saw a male relative sitting at his home with female family members after which he felt outraged and killed the two," SHO Khipro police station Sharif Jamali told the local media. According to him, the suspect also tried to kill his relative, identified as Imran Khyber, but he escaped.

He said the police are raiding the known hideouts of the suspect but he could not be arrested by Wednesday evening. The bodies were taken to the taluka hospital for the postmortem before they were handed over to the family for burial. The FIR has also not been registered so far.
