The bidding was held at PEMRA headquarters, Islamabad.
Galaxy Broadcasting Network was awarded the news category offering a bid of Rs63.5 million.
Bol Enterprise was awarded the entertainment category offering a bid of Rs48.5 million.
The agriculture category was awarded to Media Roots at a bid of Rs10.5 million.
In addition to it the health category was conferred to Glam Network at a bid of Rs10 million.
Moreover, Renaissance Limited was given education category presenting a bid of Rs10.5 million.
The successful bidders will be required to deposit the balance amount of earnest money within 15 working days.
The bidding was conducted in pursuance of the advertisement dated September 1, 2014.
The authority invited applications from eligible companies for the grant of satellite TV licences through bidding under Section 19 of the PEMRA Ordinance 2002. The process was delayed due to litigation. However, the courts dismissed the petitions in favour of PEMRA.
In addition to the winning companies Hamza Sadiq News Network and Venus Entertainment Company also participated in the bidding process.
