Government Departments: SEPCO cuts of electric supply

Owing to huge electricity dues, the Sepco disconnected electricity of several departments of the Sindh government

SUKKUR: Owing to huge electricity dues, the Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco) disconnected electricity of several departments of the Sindh government on Tuesday. Sepco’s executive operation engineer, Rohri, Abdul Ghaffar Mako said that dues of Rs1.5 billion are pending against the various departments of the Sindh government in Pannu Aqil, Rohri, Salehpat and Old Sukkur. The taluka municipal offices, SIDA, SCARP, Public health, health department, agriculture, highways and irrigation departments in Pannu Aqil, Salehpat, Rohri and Old Sukkur are now without electricity.
