Six robbers apprehended in Sialkot

Police official maintains the suspects were involved in robbery, extortion, theft and other crimes

SIALKOT: Police have arrested six robbers involved in criminal activities during a raid in Sialkot on Wednesday. A police official told Express News that a police team raided a hide-out and apprehended six robbers identified as Ashfaq alias Ashfaqa, Salman alias Wilaiti, Danish Ali, Farhan, Waqas and Muhammad Hussain. He added the police also seized eight 30 caliber pistols, one pump-action rifle with 62 shells, four stolen motorcycles, jewellery, cash worth Rs525,000 and 11 cellphones from the possession of the accused. He maintained the suspects were involved in robbery, extortion, theft and other crimes. The official pointed out that the outlaws were wanted to a number of police stations for their involvement in criminal activities. Meanwhile, Civil Lines police apprehended eight suspects involved in assaulting a woman and kidnapping her daughters. Civil Lines SHO Syed Naseer said that cases have been registered against the suspects and an investigation was underway.
