Eight suspects arrested while one still evades authorities

QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan on Tuesday arrested a proclaimed offender in a case of bogus appointments of teachers in the Education Department.

Former CM Raisani, ex-minister Khosa on NAB’s radar

NAB Balochistan had filed a reference in 2017 against the officers of the Education Department and Balochistan’s AG Office, who inflicted millions of rupee loss to the national exchequer by making bogus appointments.

NAB investigation into the scam revealed that former Education Department director Abdul Karim Kiazai, Additional Director Nizamuddin Mengal, with complicity of officers at the Balochistan’s AG Office, made bogus appointments of teachers.

As many as eight accused have been arrested in the case while efforts are afoot to arrest the last proclaimed offender in the case.
