He said that PML-N does not need any alliance to play the role of a strong opposition. “We can do it on our own without anybody’s support,” he added.

He said that despite being betrayed, PML-N does not see it as the end of line. He added that the need based alliances will be forged with PPPP in future as well.
The PML-N leader said that there would be times that PPP might vote in favour of the government. “After all they have to take care of their interests too,” he added. He said that PPP was in a compromising position because of several corruption cases.
"It was our responsibility to take all the other opposition parties along and it will continue to play an elder brother’s role,” he said and added that PML-N would continue to give this government a tough time inside the assembly and outside.

Rana Sanaullah said that there was no plan of launching road protests as yet but when the time comes, PML-N would show its street power. He added that PML-N has the support of the masses.
He also criticised PTI’s plans of replacing the existing local bodies system. He said that PTI has all the right to bring a new local bodies system but only after the tenure of the existing local bodies. He said that suspending the existing system was illegal and would be contested at every forum.
The PML-N leader said that PML-N was not worried about the local body election results. He added that PTI should not assume that having provincial or federal government would give them any advantage in local bodies. He said that PML-N will easily sweep the local bodies elections, if they happen.
