SSGC says K-Electric owes Rs85b

In reference to a news story titled “ECC directs Privatisation Commission to settle K-Electric sale issue” published in The Express Tribune on September 4, 2018, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has said that K-Electric owes SSGC a total amount of Rs85 billion including late payment surcharge of Rs55 billion as on September 4, 2018. It said SSGC provides full disclosure in its financial statements regarding its claim of receivables from K-Electric and no amount is reflected under the head of contingency in this respect in the company’s financial statements.
