AKUH uses TAVI procedure to change heart valves of 94-year-old patient

Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is using Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedure.

Tavi, a modern technique, is an alternative to open heart surgery. Osman Faheem of the AKUH successfully performed the procedure on a 94-year-old patient for the first time recently.
