Continuing from the end of season seven, it's highly likely that Jamie is heading north with his brother, Tyrion Lannister. However, Nikolaj stated, "I don’t think you can assume that Jaime is going to make it up north. For sure, we see him head there. But you never know, he might be eaten by dragons. Or he might just stumble - things happen. Or he might find the love of his life and suddenly he’s like, 'God, this is it. No more.'"

Brace yourselves! 'Game of Thrones' prequel is coming

When asked if Jaime will be travelling with the "true love of his life", Brienne Tarth, Nikolaj replied, "Who knows? I don’t, well, I know how it ends but... no, I can’t comment on that."

The 48-year-old actor also joked about his character sporting a beard in the upcoming season. He shared, "Jaime is on the road for a while. Wherever he is going it going to take some time, so his hair grows. He didn’t bring a trimmer this year."

Did Maisie Williams just reveal 'Game of Thrones' ending?

Adding to the surrounding theories, Nikolaj added that he cannot say if he will be fighting the white walkers but he does own Valyrian steel that's needed to destroy them. He also continued that he could have made his hand out of Valyrian steel instead of gold which would have been a clever move.

Nikolaj mentioned that fans would have to wait and see if all the owners of Valyrian steel will join forces to fight the white walkers. He told that upon reading the script of the final season, he was surprised and couldn't think of a better end to the story. "It was very satisfying but also very surprising. It made sense. It wasn’t like one of those where the killer is suddenly revealed in the last act."
