LAHORE: Family members and relatives of a woman, who was allegedly tortured and burnt to death by her husband and in-laws a couple of days ago, staged a protest on Ferozpur Road on Saturday.

The protesters blocked the road for traffic and shouted slogans against the brutal killing. They also demanded justice and an immediate arrest of the accused persons.

The victim, identified as Sonia, had a dispute with her husband Muhammad Irfan, who in collusion with his family, allegedly brutally tortured her, poured petrol over her and set her on fire. As a result, she sustained serious burns and 50% of her body was badly burnt.
