The Investigation Officer (IO) implored the court that they received information through a reliable source that a person named Mughees Ahmed is involved in harassing and sexually exploiting young females. He contended that their sources revealed that the accused has also extorted money from several victims. "We received information that the main accused, along with other members of his gang, is present in a house and can be arrested."

Subsequently, a five-member team headed by Inspector Fakhar Abbass was formed to raid the house. During the raid, a mobile phone was found and according to senior investigator Rana Obaidullah Minhas said that a number of objectionable pictures of different females were available in the phone storage. During the investigation, the accused also confessed that he sexually exploited many females for financial benefits.
