After receiving complaints from locals, the police raided the Hujra of Qutab Khan in Umaid Abad-1 area in the limits of Peshtakhara Police Station and arrested 17 gamblers, namely Qutab, Yousaf, Javaid, Yasir Hussain, Sher Khan, Hamid and others red handed while recovering Rs25,810 stake money and gambling equipment from their possession.
The police also arrested four gamblers in the jurisdiction of Gulfat Hussain Shaheed Police Station. The arrested gamblers were identified as Arshad, Gulo, Shahnawaz and Mir Alam. The police also recovered Rs8,000 stake money from them.
