The complainant, Nadia Bukhari, had alleged that SHO Mukhtar Panhwar had taken her and her husband to the police station and beaten them up. The IG directed the Zone West DIG to initiate an investigation into the incident and submit a detailed report.

According to the initial findings, the spokesperson said that on August 16, three individuals - a man and two women - had attempted to enter a mazar in Shershah from the men's entrance. On being stopped by the mazar administration, the complainants had fought with the officials. Subsequently, a lady police officer posted a the mazar had brought them to the police station, where a case was registered against them on the complaint of the mazar authorities.

The next day, they were presented in court from where they were released on bail.

AIG Sheikh has ordered the Zone West SSP Dr Rizwan to conduct an investigation into the incident, said the spokesperson, adding that the complainant's family will also be questioned regarding the incident.
