Increasing dog bites: Hospital lacks rabies vaccine

At least 12 people, including eight children, were attacked and injured by stray dogs in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Shiekh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan lacks the rabies vaccine to counter the increasing number of dog bites in the area.

At least 12 people, including eight children, were attacked and injured by stray dogs in Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday.

Officials at Sheikh Zayed Hospital told Express News that all the victims suffered severe injuries and were brought to the health facility for treatment. They maintained that condition of some patients was critical. The victims included two-year-old Zain Ali, four-year-old Noman Ali, five-year-old Ameer Ahmed, six-year-old Kainat Bibi, Usman, 7, Jahangir, 8, 17-year-old Muhammad Ramzan, 40-year-old Fayyaz Ahmed and others.
