CHAGHI: Former provincial minister Amanullah Notezai has said he never compromised on the peace in Chaghi district and was always ready to do whatever it took to maintain peace.

Notezai stated this while talking to the media-persons in his hometown Sargesha on Saturday.

He said, “A visible example of peace is the recovery of a Sikh and a tribal leader from Nokundi. I have never supported kidnappers.”
He further stated that the current law and order situation in Chaghi was not satisfactory.

“The other day near the police and Levies station, Sardar Hanif Siyani was murdered and the assailants managed to flee, which is a clear failure of the authorities,” he said, adding that every now and then workers travelling in cars were looted in Nokundi.

“Peace is no more in the district. The current representative is not concerned with what happens here,” he said, vowing not to let the peace in Chaghi district be destroyed.

“Chaghi district was the most peaceful one in the province, but during the last one month the situation in the district has bcome a cause for concern,” he added.
