Two people killed in road accident in Faisalabad

In a separate incident nine family members hospitalised after consuming contaminated milk

FAISALABAD: Two people including a minor were killed, while two others were injured in a car accident in Tandlianwala on Saturday.

Number of road accidents surge during Eid holidays

Rescue 1122 officials said that two motorcycles collided head on near Garh Fateh Mamoon Kanjan Road near Tandlianwala. As a result of the collision, Zubair and two-year-old Aziza died instantly while Kausar and Zoharan sustained injuries.

Rescue teams shifted the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, nine family members including four children were hospitalised after consuming contaminated milk in Tandlianwala police limits.

Police said that Meraj Din, a resident of Butt Colony, consumed the milk along with his family members. As a result of ingesting the milk, the condition of Meraj, his children Hamza, Rabia, Ali and Rehana and four other family members started to deteriorate rapidly; all of them started vomiting, police added.

All nine people were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
