Five killed, seven injured in Mardan firing

A search and strike operation is underway

At least five people were killed and seven injured during an exchange of fire in Mardan on Wednesday.

The firing also injured a passerby and took place over sacrificial animals.

According to sources, Ghalib Khan and his relative Nausher opened fire on each other.

As a result five people died on the spot. The injured were shifted to a hospital along with the bodies.

District police head Wahid Mehmood and Toro Police Station House Officer (SHO) were present on the murder scene.

The area has been cordoned off. A search and strike operation is underway to nab the suspects at the earliest.
