'Lahore Terey Tay' from 'JPNA2' proves to be yet another let down

Much like 'Ayya Lariye', the latest track also lacks good choreography

KARACHI: Earlier last week, upcoming film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 (JPNA2) released - what it claimed to be, the biggest shaadi song of the season - Ayya Lariye. The song received a ton of criticism where most people said that Meesha Shafi's version of the song from Coke Studio was way better than the Fahad Mustafa, Mawra Hocane-starrer.

Now, JPNA2 has released yet another track that also seems to be a shaadi song, however, this time it features Humayun Saeed and Kubra Khan.

Titled Lahore Terey Tay, the track is sung by Waqar Ehsin and Mehak Ali. While the singers have done a great job with the vocals, the song fails to impress leaving one confused about the chorus. Lahore Terey Tay kicks off with a bang and a perfect balance of beats and lyrics, however, the graph slopes down as the song progresses.

Humayun and Kubra try their best to make their on-screen chemistry work, but fail too. Much like Ayya Lariye, Lahore Terey Tay also lacks good choreography. At various instances, Humayun's lip-sync doesn't match that of the track, sparking concerns if the film will feature the same technical mistakes.

Overall, Lahore Terey Tay was a let down. But we sure hope the film fares well at the box office.
