PESHAWAR:
The body of a woman along with another woman, who was badly injured and lying in an unconscious state, was discovered on the Ring Road in Peshawar on Thursday.
The Paharipura police told The Express Tribune that they received a call from the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) that two women had been brought to the hospital. One of them, who appeared to be 25 years-old was unconscious and badly injured while the other appearing to be a 19-year- old was dead.
Both had been shot by unidentified people.
“We have yet to identify either of the women,” a police officer said, adding that it appeared that they had been shot and left for dead by unidentified attackers who managed to escape after committing the crime.
The officer added that they have registered an FIR in the case and are investigating the matter.
The body has been sent for an autopsy while the injured women have been shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the LRH.
