An Azadi Mela was set up in Seoul to mark the country's 72nd Independence Day celebrations.

The event showcased Pakistani traditions with henna and food stalls. Traditional delicacies such as jalebi and falooda were served to the attendees.

An award ceremony was also held to honour Dr Song Jeong-Hwan, ex-ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan.

He was awarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Pakistan for his contributions to improve bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador to South Korea Rahim Hayat Qureshi appreciated the positive developments in relations between the two countries.
Qureshi congratulated the Pakistani community on their well recognised contributions to the Korean economy and in promoting Pakistani culture in the country.

CPEC Cultural Caravan: First China-Pakistan festival kicks off

The event was organised by the Pakistani embassy along with the Pakistan Business Association with more 2,000 Pakistani community members and Korean dignitaries in attendance.

Moreover, an investiture ceremony for the award was held at the festival.
