76% Pakistan youth drop out of education: UNDP
In his message on International Youth Day, he said Pakistan was among those countries where majority of the population consisted of young adolescents. Empowering these individuals in the truest sense is the need of the hour.
“The youth of Pakistan has proven its talent at every level and has brought a good name to the country by utilizing their talent. The nation has attached high hopes to its talented youngsters,” the CM remarked.
“The interim government,” he said, “has made sincere efforts to resolve the problems that young people face. We have to shape their future in order to ensure a bright future for our country.” He said the government was responsible for providing resources to empower the youth because they were the only hope for a bright future for Pakistan.
The CM said that youngsters under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam had rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the Pakistan Movement and their sacrifices were a golden chapter in the history of this country. The youth had played a vital role in the Pakistan Movement and today they needto utilise their talent with the same spirit. He also stressed on the need for vocational training and said a skilled workforce will play an important role in national development.
He said that the purpose of celebrating the day was to stress on the need for taking steps to use their talent in the best suitable manner at a national and international level
Taleemabad: Making learning fun for the young
“Today we have to resolve that we will make effective policies to enhance the talent of our children and bring it at par with international individuals,” he added.
