KARACHI:
People all over Pakistan are gearing up for the upcoming wedding season. However, it's the endless dance practices that everyone thoroughly enjoys. While practices start way in advance, the Pakistani film industry seems to make full use of it.

Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat-starrer 'Load Wedding' to release on Eidul Azha

Earlier, Parwaaz Hai Junoon released its wedding song of the season titled Naache Re which proved to be a disappointment. Now, Load Wedding starring Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat has taken the lead with their mehndi track called Munday Lahore De.

Kicking off with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayeingay's signature instrument - the mandolin, Fahad marks his entrance as the perfect romantic hero. However, foot-tapping beats soon follow suit as Mehwish emerges as the mischievous Punjabi girl - much like Kareena Kapoor Khan's Geet from Jab We Met.

Portraying the country's colourful culture that is evident in mehndis, trucks, rickshaws and villages, Munday Lahore De captures every detail flawlessly. Even the dance steps performed by Fahad and Mehwish are impeccably befitting without being over-the-top. Hats off to the choreography!

Contrary to Parwaaz Hai Junoon's Naache Re in which Hania Aamir, Hamza Ali Abbas and Shaz Khan were unable to dance, the Load Wedding lead pair sure know how to shake a leg.

Sung by Fahad's Na Maloom Afraad co-star Mohsin Abbas Haider, the vocals do complete justice to true Punjabi spirit. Inclusion of famed singer Saima Jahan should also be lauded as the film aims to promote forgotten artists of the yesteryear.
