Medical facilities: Precautionary measures for prisoners

KARACHI: Prisoners across the province are provided medical facilities with the help of donor agencies, said Sindh Minister for Health Dr Sagheer Ahmed while addressing an International Committee of the Red Cross delegation on Friday. Many prisoners are living with diseases, including hepatitis, tuberculosis and psychological illnesses. “We are trying to appoint psychiatrists as well,” he said. Ahmed said the provincial health department would organise a meeting with them next week to discuss health facilities at prisons.
