Sonali Bendre goes bald, thanks friends for support

Actor was diagnosed with high-grade cancer in early July

Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre who is currently undergoing treatment in New York has a new look to sport. The Hum Saath Saath Hain star was diagnosed with high-grade cancer in early July after which she travelled to the US to seek immediate attention. According to her latest Instagram post, the actor sure seems to be enjoying life to the most.

Going completely bald, Sonali wrote, "This is me. And in this moment, I am really happy. People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it's true and I'll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and #SwitchOnTheSunshine."

Speaking of her battle with cancer so far, she continued, "There are moments of pain and low energy, but I am doing what I like, spending time with people I love, and feeling very loved and happy. I am extremely grateful to my friends, my pillars of strength, who at a moment's notice, arrived to be with me and help me through this. In between their busy schedules they find time to visit, call, or message. Basically never leaving a moment for me to feel alone."

The actor joked that she spends far less time getting ready now because of going bald.

A few days ago, Sonali's husband Goldie Behl confirmed that the actor's condition was stable. When news of her cancer broke, the Sarfarosh star opted to cut her long locks and adopt a short hairdo.
