The Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department organised a free medical camp for transgender people at Fountain House Lahore on Saturday.

Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Tahir Khalil led the team of medical professionals providing diagnostics, treatment and medicines to transgender persons.

Deputy Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department and focal person for the camp Ameera Bedar visited the camp and review the arrangements.

Talking to the media, Bedar said that a comprehensive programme was being chalked out to provide diagnostic and treatment facilities to them on a regular basis and the holding of medical camp at Fountain House was a beginning of that programme.

Chinese doctors join medical camp

She said that another medical camp would be set up in Sargodha on August 20 with the help of Sargodha Medical College.
