
A man confessed to drowning his four daughters in Phuleli Canal on Friday morning.
The rescue workers have found the bodies of three girls, nine-year-old Kainat, seven-year-old Neha and four-year-old Dhano. Meanwhile, the body of two-year-old Soni has yet to be found.
According to the police, father Javed Shah confessed to his crime.
He said that he was under financial stress and he was upset that his wife and their daughters were continuously living at his in-laws’ house.
Shah told the police that he had an argument with his wife’s family on Thursday night over financial as well as other issues when he brought his daughters back to his house in Ghareebabad.
After taking them around the canal, he threw them in it near Hala Naka.
Shah is in police custody but an FIR has yet to be filed.
