Amidst all the rumours concerning the launch of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9, Samsung mistakenly released pictures of the smartphone.

The South Korean giant has remained tight-lipped about the specifications of the device and generally has refused to acknowledge any rumours, but their latest mistake all but confirms the design of the smartphone.

Samsung confirms Galaxy Note 9 launch

As it appears in the image, it was an offer to the subscribers of Samsung’s New Zealand newsletter to pre-order the Note 9.

Only the back of the smartphone is shown in the picture, but it surely tells a lot. It comes with an S-Pen Stylus, USB-C connector and a headphone jack with a 6.38-inch display (bigger than the Note 8). Moreover, there’s a dual-camera with a fingerprint sensor placed in the centre, beneath the cameras.

The phone has been rumoured to be quite similar to Note 8 when it comes to its specifications.

Samsung's mobile woes drag on profit growth

Samsung had also posted a teaser of the Note 9 which shows that the new device will be a lot more powerful.

The company have confirmed that the device will make its debut on 9 August at an event in New York.
