With the latest Note 9 rumours doing rounds on various online platforms, it was about time Samsung offered some sort of verification.

The South Korean giant has sent out invitations for an event on August 9th for the new Galaxy device.

Samsung Pakistan launches Galaxy J6

Earlier this month a picture of a Note stylus was doing rounds on social media and the fact that the Note 9 itself recently cleared the FCC, transparently pointed towards the launch of the company’s next flagship device.

Meanwhile, rumours indicate that the upgrade to the Note 8 will be of a similar fashion as the Galaxy S9 was to last year’s S8- most probably with a focus on an improved camera rather than a completely renovated design. The invitation also appears to hint that the device will come with a new yellow colour.

However, Samsung’s tendency to use the Note line as a platform for more creative hardware experiments would also suggest some other, more dynamic additions: for instance the long-rumoured in-display fingerprint scanner.

Speculation will end in only a few weeks when the event arrives, or in the event that details are leaked prior, as indicated by the past.
