HEC gives cheques to Shell Eco Marathon teams

ISLAMABAD: A ceremony to distribute cheques among the teams of young engineers for participation in the Shell Eco Marathon was held under the auspices of STEM Careers Programme (SCP), a joint venture of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), at the HEC Secretariat on Monday.

Three teams of young engineers from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), Swabi, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore and College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, NUST have been selected by SCP for sponsoring their participation in Shell Eco Marathon to be held from July 8-10, 2010 at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.

This year for the first time in the history of the event the Shell Eco-Marathon will hold the event in an Asian country.

M. Hanif Memon | 13 years ago | Reply Why HEC gives cheques to only few teams while many other teams also need money for this project specially NED's students. They need sponsors very badly and they are hunting during their study. regards
